Usher Syndrome Awareness Day, Sat. 9/18

In 2015, the Usher Syndrome Coalition declared the third Saturday in September as global “Usher Syndrome Awareness Day.” This day falls near the autumnal equinox in the northern hemisphere, marking the start of days that contain more darkness than light—a powerful metaphor for the threat of Usher syndrome.

Saturday, Sept. 18, 5 Points Music Foundation is asking YOU to help match our donation of $500 to the Usher Syndrome Coalition. Their mission is to raise awareness and accelerate research for the most common genetic cause of combined deafness and blindness. They also provide information and support to individuals and families affected by Usher syndrome—folks like 5 Points’ own Tyler Godsey, whose two children both have the disease.

Please consider donating a little or a lot to this cause so close to our hearts. Together we can create a light beyond the darkness.
